2025 Women Are Sacred Conference 

July 29–31, 2025, at the Baird Convention Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin 

We are a few weeks away from one of the largest gatherings dedicated to ending violence against Native women and communities, the 2025 Women Are Sacred Conference! Hosted every two years by the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center (NIWRC) the conference features training sessions, presentations, workshops, and keynote addresses on topics designed to strengthen the capacity of Tribal Nations, domestic violence programs, and community-based services to provide effective intervention and prevention strategies. There’s still time to register!

Save the Date: 20th Annual Government-to-Government Violence Against Women Tribal Consultation

October 28-30, 2025, Prior Lake, Minnesota

The Office on Violence Against Women will host the 20th Annual Government-to-Government Tribal Consultation on Violence Against American Indian and Alaska Native Women later this year on October 28-30 in Prior Lake, Minnesota. This annual consultation provides an opportunity for elected Tribal Leaders or their designees to offer recommendations on improving the federal response to violence against Native women. NIWRC is Hiring

Data Specialist: Full Time (Remote), $50,000 - $55,000

The Data Specialist provides technology and data support on internal projects for teams and maintains external ARP-focused databases of resources for grantees, provides technology and data support on internal projects for teams and maintains external ARP-focused databases of resources for grantees. In this role, you will be responsible for collating and verifying data from multiple sources, reviewing existing databases and data storage systems for efficacy and efficiency, assisting with implementing data software storage systems and executing data transfers. STTARS at the National Tribal Housing Justice Summit!

The STTARS Indigenous Safe Housing Center recently hosted a powerful National Tribal Housing Justice Summit in Albuquerque, New Mexico, bringing together Tribal advocates, housing experts, and leaders from across the country. Over two days, participants shared strategies, traditional knowledge, and policy solutions to advance housing justice for survivors and Tribal communities.
