Native American Heritage Month

November 2024

This Native American Heritage Month, NIWRC invites you to join us, our partners, and allies across Indian Country in honoring the unique histories and vibrant cultures that have shaped our nation since time immemorial. As we celebrate these traditions, we stand firm in our commitment to protect the safety and sovereignty of Native women. This month reminds us that upholding Tribal sovereignty and amplifying Native voices are vital steps in ending gender-based violence, advocating for justice, and strengthening the foundation of healing and resilience within our communities.

Thank You

Domestic Violence Awareness Month

As we move forward, we remain committed to raising awareness, pursuing justice for Native women, and ensuring we Heal, Hold, & Center survivors. Thank you for helping amplify the message that violence has no place in our communities!

Navigating Disability Justice: Addressing Long COVID & Health Inequities

Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. MT

Join us for a candid discussion amongst fellow disabled long-COVID survivors, disability justice advocates, and COVID-19 safety organizers/specialists. This webinar will reflect on the intersections of disability justice, offer community navigational knowledge, and help us consider how we can build a more equitable future within the contexts of health decline and pandemics. Disability is something we will all navigate, either through natural health decline or possibly from being repeatedly infected by COVID-19; one infection can change our lives forever.
