March is Women’s History Month! As we honor the spirit and strength of women worldwide, we draw particular inspiration from the powerful women of Indian Country who continue to lead with courage, compassion, and cultural wisdom.

This year’s theme from the National Women’s History Alliance is “Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future," highlights the importance of long-term sustainability across our communities. For women and families, sustainability—environmental, economic, educational, and social—helps ensure a future rooted in equity, justice, and opportunity for all.

Join us in celebrating and uplifting the many inspiring Native women shaping our communities today. Share stories, honor leaders, and highlight Native women in your community using #WomensHistoryMonth, #NativeWomenHistory, and #InspiringNativeWomen on social media.
